Mitochondrial trafficking in neurites

A combination of laser capture microscopy technique and gene profile analysis in same brain tissue. Brain is cryosectioned, one set of sections can be used for immunohistochemistry, and the alternative set of sections can be used for laser micro-dissection and RT-PCR for analyzing gene expression profile. The laser micro-dissection can be applied for level of specific brain region, group of neurons or glia, or single neuron or glia.
